Hi, I’m Vanessa–writer, sensitive soul, sovereign woman.
I created An Ember Blooms for individuals like me–those who are learning, unlearning, growing, remembering, and treasuring who they are. Individuals who are no longer seeking permission to be whole and perfect, but instead, are gently and boldly returning to themselves.
For most of my life, I looked outside myself for direction–for love, validation, permission, for a sense of who I was and wasn’t supposed to be. I tried many different roles and identities that never quite fit. I was overgenerous, always seeking to be a part of others, living vicariously through them, to make myself feel like I was living. I did this until I forgot how to hear the quiet, honest voice inside myself that was always telling me to stop and to listen.
It took a long time, but slowly I was able to listen and come home to myself.
Through self-care, reflection, solitude, and soul-deep honesty, I began to heal and rebuild the relationship with the most important person in the universe: myself.
Now, while still on my journey, I write to share my insight about the soft, imperfect, sacred path of returning to your truth. My journey is for the woman who feels deeply, who’s told she’s “too sensitive”. The one who has had to be strong for long enough. The one who is tired of pretending she is fine when she isn’t. The one who knows there’s more out there, and she knows she IS worthy of it and all that she desires and dreams of.
Here, you’ll find compositions of self-care, boundaries, emotional honesty, feminine strength and and the everyday beauty of becoming. I hope that this space becomes a gentle reminder that YOU ARE ENOUGH. That you are already whole, perfectly imperfect, just as you are. You are already beautiful and powerful.
This is your homecoming.
Thank you for being here.
With Love,
Vanessa
